Why?
I have been looking to try something new with my diet and have heard alot about animal based diets and the carnivore diet.
These elimination diets have been said to reduce symptoms of auto-immune conditions, improve gut health, and other chronic illnesses.
I'm sure these types of diets aren't effective or necessary for all people but you don't truly know unless you try these things yourself.
Paul Saladino pushes alot of claims and ideas on social media about what and how we should eat. He's all about organic, non-gmo, micro-plastic free, grass-fed grass-finished, veggies are bad, bla-bla-bla. The man is even scared to touch receipts because they contain endocrine disrupters or something. To be honest, I find his opinions to be a little extreme. But what I think is worth exploring is the idea of eating all-natural foods, avoiding processed junk, and then slowly adding things back in like some veggies and maybe rice and potatoes and seeing how your body responds.
A few things I'm interested with this diet:
- Can this diet help me get into great shape?
- Can this diet reduce the amount of headaches and migraines I get?
- Is this diet sustainable long term?
- Can this diet improve my gut issues (IBS)?
- Can this diet make my skin nicer?
- I have always struggled with low energy and wonder if this diet would increase my natural energy levels.
